Martinka Bobrikova & Oscar De Carmen / Installation

In this installation, the artists have responded to the notion of existing between two revolutions: the end of the industrial revolution – which defined and re-defined the relations between human production, nature and capitalism – and the first steps of the techno-scientific revolution – the anticipated way forward to minimise and reduce the negative human impact on Earth. From this place in-between, the unpredictability of what is to come is equally a source of frustration as it is a productive place from which to imagine possible futures.
