The curatorial approach to the multidisciplinary “Arts in the Environment – Nordic Symposium” -exhibition has drawn its inspiration from three fairly distinctive aspects. Firstly we have been emphasising in our collective process a wide range of works that will hopefully bring fresh perspectives to the ongoing discussion of “arts in the environment”; a theme that on its own is already a mix of various trajectories such as land, environmental, or installation art and sculpture. We have brought in also intangible, ephemeral and performative works, or works that unravel only through participation.
