The exhibition maps current trends in the field of environmental and ecological art, bringing several different approaches to this topic concentrated in the territory of Slovakia after 1989. Reflection of problems related to climate change, represents in the field of fine arts more or less a hybrid form of various methodologies, tools and approaches. There are elements of sculpture, photography, film, participation, activism, work with text or gardening. The confrontation of the individual author's approaches represents art as one of the possible tools for dealing with local problems, spreading new ecological strategies, establishing positive changes, or just forming new utopias.
The exhibition will present older as well as ongoing and new works by artists: Blažej Baláž, Matej Vakula, Elena Pätoprstá, Andrej Poliak, Erik Sikora, Michal Simonfy and Slovak-Spanish duo Martinka Bobrikova & Oscar de Carmen.
Supported using public funding by Slovak Art Council.
The Slovak Art Council is the main partner of the project.
